Police Renew Witness Appeal Following Shrewsbury Stabbing
Police today renewed appeals for witnesses to a stabbing incident in a Shrewsbury street which left a 22-year-old man seriously injured.
The incident happened at around 9.50pm on Sunday in the Mardol area of the town centre.
The man, who received a chest wound, was taken to the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital and later transferred to the University Hospital of North Staffordshire in Stoke. His condition today was described as stable.
Police are continuing to investigate the incident and are seeking witnesses to the assault.
Assault at Telford Bus Station
Police in Telford are investigating following an assault on a bus at the bus station in the town centre on Saturday 21st August.
At around 3.05pm, shortly after the victim, a 28-year-old man, had boarded the number 22 bus, an unknown man approached and shouted at him. He shouted: “Don’t ever talk to my girlfriend like that again.”
Chance to Call-in on Local Police in Ludlow
People visiting Ludlow town centre later this month are being offered the chance to chat to their Local Police Team.
A drop-in surgery is being held by local officers at Yeo's newsagents and café in Tower Street, from 10am to 12pm on Tuesday, August 24.
It's an opportunity for shoppers and other visitors to the town to meet Ludlow's Local Policing Officer PC Dan Wood and Community Support Officers David Bell and Lisa Thomas.
Assault outside Telford nightclub
Police in Telford are investigating following an assault in the town centre. The incident occurred outside Vox nightclub in Central Square on Friday 30th July.
Sometime between 9pm and 10.30pm a 33-year-old man began to walk from Central Square, Telford, to the bus station when he became involved in an altercation with another man who had asked him for a cigarette.
Serious Assault in Shrewsbury
A man suffered facial injuries and was knocked unconscious after being assaulted in what appears to have been an unprovoked attack in Shrewsbury town centre.
The victim was talking with friends near the car park between Barker Street and Hills Lane at about 12.30am on Saturday(JUL 24) when he was attacked.
He was approached by a man believed to be in his 20s, who hit him numerous times, knocking him to the ground and eventually rendering him unconscious.
The offender then made off across the car parks towards Montgomery's Tower.

Wellington residents, businesses and visitors are being urged to have their say on the latest plans to regenerate the market town. Work is under way on a brand new £8.5 million Civic Quarter and a £1.2 million scheme to repave Market Square, New Street and the pedestrianised part of Walker Street between Rasputins and the Halifax Bank.
Consultation has now started to ask people for their opinions on whether key streets in the town centre should be pedestrianised.

The countryside comes to Shrewsbury town centre at 10am on Saturday 17 July. Countryside campaigners from across Shropshire will set up stall in The Square to promote the rural way of life.
Falconers, a farrier, ferreters, ice cream makers, honey producers, cake bakers, farmers to name but a few, will all be there with the tools and animals of their trades. Daisy the cow will even be present in the town centre ready for milking!
Shrewsbury Night-Life ID Scheme Could Go National
A scheme to tackle underage youngsters in Shrewsbury who try and use fake identification to get into pubs and clubs has proved so successful that it could be rolled out across the country.
PubWatch members joined up with local officers to clamp down on underage drinkers by stopping them getting into licensed venues in the first place.
PC David Walton, Local Policing Officer for Shrewsbury town centre, said concerns had been raised that an increasing number of teenagers were using fake ID or ID belonging to someone else that they had either borrowed or even stolen.
'Your Community Matters' event in Wellington
Key organisations responsible for services in Telford and Wrekin are gearing up for the next Your Community Matters event in the borough, which takes place in Wellington on Sunday July 11, at Bowring Park.
Residents in the west and north of the borough are being invited to the public event where they will have the chance to put their questions and concerns to representatives from organisations Telford & Wrekin Council, the police, the NHS, the fire service and Wrekin Housing Trust.
Drivers Face Court Action for Ignoring Shrewsbury One Way System
Dozens of drivers in Shrewsbury town centre have found themselves summonsed to court as motorists continue to ignore a right-turn only sign on an almost daily basis.
Despite repeated warnings, improved signage, extensive enforcement and a high-profile media campaign, drivers are continuing to travel the wrong way up St Mary's Street from Church Street in order to take a short cut along St Mary's Place.
