Bumper crowd expected for top of table clash

Determined Gunnell must get past legend Davis

Telford snooker ace Adrian Gunnell is determined to qualify for the final stages of the Maplin UK Championship in his home town - but will first have to beat a six-times World Champion.
Gunnell heads to the English Institute of Sport - Sheffield next week for the qualifying rounds of snooker's second biggest ranking event, and will have to win two matches to make it to the venue stages at the Telford International Centre from December 13 to 21.
Robertson Targets Telford Triumph

Neil Robertson hopes to build on his victory in the Bahrain Snooker Championship by winning the Maplin UK Championship in Telford next month.
The Australian left-hander won the third ranking title of his career last Saturday by beating Matthew Stevens 9-7 in the final of the first world ranking tournament ever staged in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
And Robertson is now looking ahead to the Maplin UK Championship, which runs from December 13 to 21 at the Telford International Centre.

Tickets On Sale For UK Championship

Tickets are now on sale for the Maplin UK Championship, which takes place at the Telford International Centre from December 13 to 21. Ronnie O’Sullivan came out on top in the 2007 tournament, making a 147 in the deciding frame of his semi-final against Mark Selby, then beating Stephen Maguire in the final.
Telford’s leading player Adrian Gunnell, the world No 36, qualified for the final stages of the tournament last year before losing 9-3 to Ding Junhui.
