This Easter, Cadbury has again teamed up with the National Trust to add a magical twist to the traditional family Easter egg hunt. As a special treat for families, there will be over 220 magical Easter egg trails taking place at National Trust properties across the country this Easter weekend.

Egg Hunters will follow a trail map around their local National Trust property visiting trail points and collecting clues.

PostHeaderIcon New season at Sunnycroft

Visitors to Sunnycroft this year will discover a new exhibition featuring a sample piece of Queen Elizabeth II's Coronation robe. Sunnycroft's last owner, Joan Lander, worked on the embroidery of the Queen's Purple Robe of Velvet at the 1953 coronation. Visitors to the Victorian Villa in Wellington will get an insight into some of the exquisite embroidery worn at Westminster Abbey and can browse through souvenir newspapers. The 'Thread Through History' exhibition is housed in Miss Lander's former bedroom and embroidery workshops are planned throughout the year.

PostHeaderIcon Discover inventions of the Edwardian Era at Sunnycroft, Wellington

On Saturday 25th October, visit Sunnycroft and discover some of the weird and wacky designs for inventions that characterised the Edwardian era. The National Trust property in Wellington is holding an Edwardian Discovery Day on Saturday 25 October from 1pm to 5pm. Amongst some of the designs for inventions that visitors can find out about are 'an improved foot stand for viewing processions', 'an improved indicator for tradesmen calling at houses' or 'the self-lighting cigar'.
